2024 Mentor of the Year Awards

Applications are open for the 2024 Mentor of the Year Awards. Since 2008, the Division of Intramural Research (DIR) has recognized exceptional mentorship by presenting two Mentor of the Year Awards—one for an outstanding postdoctoral/clinical fellow, and one for an outstanding investigator or staff scientist.

2024 NICHD Intramural Research Fellowship: Application Deadline is September 13th.

Submissions for the competitive NICHD Intramural Research Fellowship (IRF) remain open until September 13th. NICHD postdocs and clinical fellows in their second or third year of training are eligible to apply and must have attended the June 13 training session. Fellows interested in applying to current or future application cycles can learn more here. Inquiries about this internal funding opportunity may be directed to Dr. Erin Walsh (Erin.Walsh@nih.gov).


Call for Scientific Images!

We need your images to feature in conference materials for the 19th Annual NICHD Fellows Retreat (poster, website, agenda booklet, etc.), set to occur on Tuesday, October 22nd, at the Natcher Conference Center on the NIH Main Campus in Bethesda, Maryland. Fellows who have beautiful or striking scientific images are encouraged to email them to Dr. Megan Bohn (Megan.Bohn@nih.gov) by July 31st.


Calling All Artists for the September Arts Issue of The NICHD Connection!

The September issue of The NICHD Connection will highlight the link between science and art and will feature the artwork of NICHD fellows.
