The Service and Outreach Subcommittee is hosting a Weed Warrior volunteering event to remove invasive plants in one of Montgomery County’s parks. The Women Scientists Fellows (WSF) committee is screening “Black Motherhood through the Lens” on Tuesday, June 11, 3–4:40 p.m. in Building 35, Room 610 Ground. The filmmaker, Ade Osinubi, will be there in-person for discussion! Please consider attending and spread the news to anyone who would be interested.
The WSF committee is also seeking volunteers for the 2024 Women Scientist Advisors (WSA) Anita Roberts Lecture. This year’s lecturer will be Carolina Barillas-Mury, M.D., Ph.D., Chief of the Laboratory of Malaria and Vector Research, NIAID, who will present “Mosquito Immunity and Disease Transmission.”
